MacBook Neo arrives, Apple’s new economical laptop: starts at 699 euros

Apple has presented MacBook Neo, a new 13-inch laptop, which stands out for being a cheaper proposal in its Mac catalog, since it arrives with a starting price of 699 euros.

MacBook Neo “delivers all the magic of the Mac at a revolutionary price,” said Apple Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering John Ternus in a press release. For this purpose, “it has been designed from scratch” so that it can “be available to even more people.”

This new equipment features an aluminum design that makes it resistant, while the rounded corners make it easier to grip and give it a more elegant aesthetic. It is designed to be carried in a backpack or bag, thanks to its weight of 1.23 kg.

It offers a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2,408 x 1,506 pixels, which reaches a peak brightness of 500 nits and has support for one billion colors. It has an anti-reflective film that allows you to see the screen in different light conditions.

The laptop is powered by the A18 Pro processor, as well as the MacOS operating system, and includes artificial intelligence features from Apple Intelligence. It offers users a range of up to 16 hours on a single charge.

It also has a 1080p FaceTime HD camera with image processing, two microphones with directional beamforming technology that reduce background noise and isolate voices, and two side speakers compatible with spatial audio and Dolby Atmos.

When it comes to connectivity, this device includes two USB-C ports to connect accessories or an external monitor and a wired headphone jack. It also has support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 6 technologies.

MacBook Neo features Apple’s Magic Keyboard for comfortable, precise typing, as well as a large Multi-Touch trackpad. It also offers integration with iPhone, allowing you to take advantage of the ‘Continuity’ features built into macOS to switch from iPhone to Mac and pick up where you left off.

The MacBook Neo will be available starting Wednesday, March 11, with a price starting at 699 euros, in four colors: cloud pink, indigo, silver and citrus. It has an internal capacity of 256GB or 512GB in a variant with TouchID.
