Honor, AI and the robotic revolution at MWC 2026

At the Mobile World Congress 2026, Honor marks the overcoming of traditional telephony through the Alpha Plan, a project that aims at total integration of technology into everyday life. “Alpha Plan is an investment of around 10 billion dollars where we want to develop artificial intelligence that can encompass an entire ecosystem, which also comes from other industries”, says Pier Giorgio Furcas, Deputy General Manager Italy and Switzerland of Honor.

The absolute protagonist of the event is the Honor Robot Phone, a device equipped with micromotors and a gimbal system that gives it real motor capabilities. The terminal does not simply frame the interlocutor, but physically follows the user in space”. The Robot Phone is the combination of a virtual but physical assistant, where we have managed to combine the intelligence quotient with the emotional quotient”, says Furcas. And Thomas Bai, Product Expert of Honor’s Robot Phone, adds: “We have integrated a four-degree-of-freedom robotic arm directly inside the phone. This makes the interaction with the device completely different, since the phone can now perceive and interact with the physical world.”

Foldable device engineering reaches a new height with the Magic V6, featuring a record thickness of just 8.75 millimeters. The main innovation lies in the energy sector, where the fifth generation of silicon-carbon batteries allows a 6,660 mAh unit to be housed in an extremely thin body. In addition to power, the brand has focused on the durability of the product to respond to market demands. “With the V6 we have greatly improved the resistance of the phone, so that it can be used with complete peace of mind”, explains Furcas. The terminal, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, integrates latest generation LTPO screens, guaranteeing high performance and unprecedented autonomy in the foldable sector.

The diversification strategy is completed with the presentation of the brand’s first humanoid robot dedicated to home care. This automaton embodies Honor’s transition towards embodied artificial intelligence, capable of providing personalized support in the home ecosystem, while maintaining a philosophy of support and not replacement. “The robot is seen as a companion that can work in factories or for inspections; it must be an accompaniment and not a replacement for the human being,” says Furcas. Although the project is still in a refinement phase, the company’s top management is already looking to the future. We are in a primordial state, but the things we saw on the Robot Phone we will be able to see inside a humanoid robot in the future.”
