Galaxy S26 Ultra increases AI task processing capabilities

The latest flagship from Samsung is positioned as “Intuitive AI Phone” focusing on the ability to handle AI agents right on the device, without needing to install additional applications or pay fees. AI models are integrated to support familiar tasks such as searching, editing content, processing images or managing personal information, and can work together to handle user requests in the same operation.

For example, instead of editing photos in many different applications, now with just one text command, Photo Assist will help change the layout and subject as desired. Users can also use voice commands to search for a restaurant for a weekend appointment, then ask to save it to the calendar as a reminder.

With Galaxy S26 Ultra, AI can also act as an assistant, helping users avoid annoying and fraudulent calls. For example, when there is an unfamiliar number, AI can automatically verify the identity and ask the caller about the purpose. Once verified, the new call is transferred to the user.

To serve AI processing capabilities directly on the device, Galaxy S26 Ultra is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, manufactured on a 3 nm process. According to the company, NPU performance increased by 39%, GPU increased by 24% and CPU increased by 19% compared to the previous generation.

This processor plays a central role in handling real-time AI tasks. The new generation vapor chamber cooling system helps increase heat dissipation, maintaining stable performance when processing continuous AI tasks.

In the display segment, the device integrates ProScaler technology to help enhance image quality with AI, improving sharpness when zooming in on content. The device also supports 60W fast charging with the ability to charge about 81% of the battery in 30 minutes.

According to Samsung, optimizing the hardware and Galaxy AI at the same time right from the factory helps the device function as an “AI Phone”. This also meets the increasingly higher needs of modern users.

According to a global survey conducted by the University of Melbourne and KPMG in 2025, 65% of users regularly use AI. For smartphone users, this rate is up to 84%. An equally important issue is intuitiveness when using AI. According to Multimodal Interaction, instead of having to switch between many models and AI applications, 70% of users love integrated models. A device that allows them to interact visually with voice and commands, providing a more seamless and intuitive experience is highly appreciated.

In addition to AI processing capabilities, Samsung also enhances the device’s security layers. Galaxy S26 Ultra continues to use the Samsung Knox security platform, while adding Privacy Display technology – an anti-peeping feature at the screen hardware level. This technology adjusts the direction of pixel light so that content is only clearly visible to the person holding the camera. Users can enable or disable Privacy Display for the entire screen or individual applications.
