Microsoft powers agentic AI in Copilot for companies with Claude Cowork and Agent 365

Microsoft has announced the launch of the ‘Wave 3’ de Microsoft 365 Copilotwith a series of new features regarding artificial intelligence for companies, such as the integration of Claude Cowork o to general availability of Agent 365 and Microsoft 365 E7 Frontier Suite from May 1st.

The company tries to focus on the role of artificial intelligence within companiesseeking to “democratize intelligence and provide greater value to society” beyond gaining efficiency and productivity. To this end, it has introduced a wave of innovations designed to promote the “most pioneering” organizations, as it has described in a statement shared on its website.

Among the new features of this ‘Wave 3’ are the evolution of Microsoft 365 Copilot from assistant to integrated agentcapable of carrying out the work autonomously for the user. In collaboration with Anthropic, Microsoft has incorporated Copilot Coworkwhich drives artificial intelligence Claude Cowork to enable complex, multi-step tasks.

Precisely, Microsoft has also incorporated Claude in the main Copilot chat via the Frontier programalong with the latest generation of models OpenAI.

On the other hand, Microsoft has announced the deployment this month of ‘Work IQ’an intelligence layer that allows Microsoft 365 Copilot and agents to know more information about the job itself and its environment. ‘Work IQ’ will be available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint y Outlookwhere employees will have more AI capabilities.

Beyond these news, Microsoft has set a date for the general launch of Agent 365 y Microsoft 365 E7 Frontier Suitewhich will arrive on May 1.

It will cost 15 dollars per user (about 12.97 euros at the exchange rate).

Finally, Microsoft 365 E7 Frontier Suite unifies Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Agent 365 into one only solution powered by ‘Work IQ’ and integrated with the application and security ecosystem.
