Intel launches new Core Series 2 processors, with up to 12 P cores for critical industrial loads at the edge

Intel has presented its new processors Core Series 2which arrive with an architecture of up to 12 P cores and are designed for demanding workloads of industrial environments in order to respond to the critical ‘edge’ challenges with real-time performance improvements and managing demanding concurrent tasks, reliably.

The company has also highlighted its high capacity compared to competitors. For example, Intel has assured that, in comparison with AMD Ryzen 7 9700X processorsthe new Intel Core Series 2 delivers up to 4.4x lower maximum PCIe latencyin addition to offering up to 2.5 times longer deterministic response time and up to 3.8 times better performance. Likewise, it offers Up to 1.5 times higher multi-thread performance.

This new series of processors joins the one presented within the framework of CES 2026, Intel Core Ultra Series 3, with which, as stated by Intel’s corporate vice president and general director of the Edge Computing Group, Dan Rodriguez, the company intends to continue offering “comprehensive platforms” that satisfy “the diverse needs of edge customers.” with cutting-edge built-in artificial intelligence (AI) performance, reliability, and acceleration.”

EDGE AI SUITES TO ACCELERATE AI IN THE HEALTH SECTOR

Along with the new processors, Intel has also presented its AI Suite for Health, focused on patient monitoring through AI.

This suite aims to help professionals manage health systems, which are facing increasing patient volume and staffing limitations. Therefore, it is presented as a solution that takes patient monitoring from isolated devices to intelligent and connected ecosystemsin order to obtain information faster through AI solutions and offer reliable operation in real situations.
