Moćni H2 čip as the heart of change

The main star of the new model is undoubtedly Apple’s H2 čip, which replaces the outdated H1. This move enabled significant improvements in computer sound processing, the most prominent being active noise cancellation (ANC). Apple claims that the new system, thanks to the H2 chip and advanced algorithms, is up to 1.5 times more effective in blocking unwanted external sounds such as aircraft engine noise. In addition, H2 brings a whole package of intelligent features known from AirPods Pro headphones. There is Adaptive Audio, which automatically adjusts the level of noise and sound leakage depending on the environment, and Conversation Awareness, a function that automatically lowers the music and increases voices when the user starts a conversation. There is also Voice Isolation for crystal clear calls and Personalized Volume, which changes over time to the user’s preferences.

Features that change the rules of the game

In addition to improving the existing capabilities, AirPods Max 2 also brings several completely new functions that make it a more versatile tool. One of the most interesting is Live Translation, which with the help ofć Apple Intelligence technology enables the translation of conversations in real time, but for selected languages. Creative people will especially appreciate two new possibilities. The first is Camera Remote, which enables the use of the Digital Crown button as a remote shutter release for the camera on the iPhone or iPad. The second is significantly improved audio recording, which Apple now describes as “studio quality”, which will be useful for podcasters and musicians. Also new is the ability to interact with Siri notifications by simply nodding or shaking your head.

Sound and connectivity at a higher level

Apple did not forget about the most important thing – the sound quality itself. A new amplifier with a high dynamic range is built into AirPods Max 2, which, according to the company, brings clearer sound and more accurate reproduction. Spatial Audio has also been improved, with better instrument positioning and more natural tones. It is important information for audiophiles that the headphones now support 24-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio via the included USB-C cable. The wireless connection has also been upgraded to Bluetooth 5.3, which ensures reduced latency, especially important for gaming. The battery remained at the level of its predecessor, with up to 20 hours of listening time with ANC on. The new headphones come in five colors – Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple and Orange, and pre-orders will start on July 25.
