The first series of laptops running Core Ultra Series 3 in Vietnam

More than two months after its introduction at CES 2026, on March 17, Intel introduced the Core Ultra Series 3 chip line in Vietnam, integrated into product lines for individual users from partners Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo and MSI.

Core Ultra Series 3 is the first series of chips produced by Intel on the latest 18A process (equivalent to 2 nm). The company said that more than 200 laptop designs globally are equipped with this processor, spanning many segments, from high-end consumer computers, gaming to commercial laptops.

The laptop models introduced in Vietnam are all in the segment over 30 million VND, mainly using Core Ultra 9 with 16 central processing cores, Core Ultra 7 with optional 8 or 16 cores, and Core Ultra 5 with 8 or 12 central processing cores. All integrate neural processing units (NPUs) that reach 50 TOPS (trillion operations per second) of AI computing power so that artificial intelligence tasks run directly on the device, or Local AI.

At the event, a number of machines running Core Ultra Series 3 for the Vietnamese market were displayed. Among them is the Asus Zenbook Duo UX8406-PZ109WS with two 14-inch OLED touch screens, 3K resolution (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) and 120 Hz scan frequency. The device runs on Core Ultra 9 285H processor with 16 cores and 16 threads, maximum clock speed of 5.4 GHz, integrated with a dedicated NPU core to enhance AI processing performance. The laptop is equipped with 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and costs 60 million VND.

Meanwhile, the Acer Nitro V 16 AI model uses a Core Ultra 7 355 processor (or equivalent configuration) with an NPU specialized in handling AI tasks, allowing to run Copilot+ features and local AI applications. The device combines a GeForce RTX 5070 discrete GPU, a 16-inch screen with a high refresh rate of 180 Hz, aimed at gamers and content creators. Acer has not announced the price of this laptop model.

Lenovo also introduced the LOQ 15IPH11 (Intel) model running Core Ultra 7 365H processor, combined with Nvidia RTX 5060 GPU, 32 GB RAM, two 1 TB SSDs. Lenovo focuses on personalized AI experiences, with AI Engine+ technology for better gaming by automatically optimizing performance, combined with Lenovo AI Core to fine-tune CPU, GPU and system settings for a smooth gaming experience with higher FPS.

MSI brought to the event the thin and light laptop Prestige 14 AI+ D3MG-022VN running Core Ultra 7 355, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB memory and 14 inch screen with FHD + resolution. With a compact design, the device does not come with a separate graphics card, instead it is equipped with integrated Intel Arc graphics. The product is currently sold in Vietnam for 50 million VND.

In addition, HP also introduced the HyperX Omen 15 with compact size but quite powerful parameters aimed at gamers or high-intensity local AI processing, with the highest Core Ultra 9 386H chip next to the lower Core Ultra chip version, GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, maximum RAM of 32 GB, 1 TB hard drive. The device has a 15.6-inch OLED screen with 3K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The product does not have a selling price in Vietnam.
