Assassin’s Creed in Cinecittà, filming of the Netflix series begins

The heart of the story remains faithful to the video game brand, staging the underground clash between two secret factions determined to shape the destiny of humanity. The series will focus on the shadowy war between those seeking social control through manipulation and those fighting to preserve free will. Through the eyes of new characters, the production will explore the mechanisms of power and the silent battles that take place in parallel with the great events of official history, maintaining the features of the adrenaline-filled thriller that made the source material famous.

The creative guidance of the project was entrusted to prominent showrunners in the panorama of high-budget series, such as Roberto Patino, already involved in Westworld and Sons of Anarchy, and David Wiener, fresh from work on Halo and The Killing. The cast boasts a large group of international performers, among which the names of Noomi Rapace, Claes Bang and Sean Harris stand out, alongside Toby Wallace and Lola Petticrew. The collaboration between Ubisoft Film & Television and the streaming giant aims to define a new standard for multimedia transpositions, combining the richness of the original lore with a cinematic staging.
