HP laptops integrate AI to shorten multitasking time

Laptops and PCs from HP integrate many local AI tools, processing without Internet, helping businesses shorten the time to process documents, meetings, create content, and secure data.

Communicate with VnExpressMr. Nguyen Minh Duc, General Director of HP Vietnam, said that the SME group is facing pressure to transform AI. Among them, in Vietnam, nearly 44% of SMEs identified AI as their top priority technology investment, according to the unit’s survey.

However, the level of AI application in SMEs is still quite basic. Most new businesses use this technology for discrete tasks that have not been integrated into a seamless part of the operating process. This lack of seamlessness makes it difficult for many SMEs to exploit the full value of AI, even though the need to speed up work processing and make quick decisions is becoming increasingly urgent.

Therefore, HP builds a portfolio of devices deeply integrated with many AI features and provides them to a global network of business partners. When SME businesses equip their offices with a series of devices, they can help workers optimize time to process multiple tasks while improving operational efficiency.

Process documents faster right on the device

According to HP Vietnam representative, a common situation with SMEs is processing large volumes of documents every day from customer emails, contracts, reports, and meeting minutes. This group of businesses often has a small number of employees and takes on many roles. Therefore, reading, synthesizing, and responding to documents takes a lot of time.

With HP personal devices, the company integrates the AI Companion tool as a personal assistant. Instead of reading the entire document, users can ask AI to summarize main content, extract points of note, or compare multiple texts at once.

Local AI processing right on the computer brings two advantages to SME. The first is speed, because it does not depend on an Internet connection. The second is the security factor, when sensitive internal data such as finances and strategies are processed locally on the computer, not posted to the Cloud or external platforms.

“For SMEs, financial data, operations or customer information are core assets. When AI is processed directly on the device, businesses can have better control and reduce information security risks,” said an HP Vietnam representative.

Improve online meeting efficiency

Online meetings are increasingly popular in businesses. But the quality of online meetings is often uneven due to limitations in equipment, space and skills in using tools.

To support businesses, HP laptop devices integrate the Poly Camera tool. When meeting online, AI will analyze the environment to filter noise, increase voice quality, and improve images. In case the speaker moves, the camera still automatically captures the movement. The brand said the camera improvements are intended to help online meetings become more professional in the eyes of partners and customers.

Businesses can also use AI Companion to support notes, summarize content and suggest tasks that need to be followed up and implemented after the meeting. Built-in AI assistants will help users prepare emails, summarize reports or look up information exchanged.

This feature is applied internally by the HP team. According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, reports that once took a lot of time to record and synthesize manually are now automated and exported to many languages to help the team focus more on strategic decisions.

“AI has helped us reduce a lot of repetitive work, allowing the team to focus on creativity and building strategies for the market,” said Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc.

Sales support and customer care

For many SMEs, the sales team often has to take on many roles at the same time, from finding customers, consulting to after-sales care. AI on HP helps reduce this workload through the ability to analyze communication content, suggest responses, and prioritize important requests.

After customer meetings, tools such as AI Companion and Copilot can help summarize the content of the conversation, remind the tasks that need to be followed up and help the sales team respond faster. Integrated NPUs and GPUs on personal devices make these tasks run smoother, meeting the need for fast and accurate responses.

In addition, users can also draft sales emails, social network content or presentation documents using AI without the need for a design team or content specialist. AI also supports schedule management, reminders and personalization of workflow based on user habits. This helps SME personnel focus more on creative and decision-making tasks.

According to HP, one of the barriers for SMEs when applying AI is infrastructure investment costs and security concerns. Bringing AI directly to personal devices is considered a more suitable approach for this group of businesses.

AI processing power on personal computers has increased rapidly thanks to the development of specialized chips. This helps SMEs access artificial intelligence without investing in complex systems. In parallel, HP provides the Wolf Security platform to secure, backup, and restore important data.

HP representative affirmed that AI is a tool for SMEs to save time, reduce work complexity and improve operational quality. Therefore, choosing the right platform will help this group of businesses take advantage of technology effectively and sustainably.
