Elon Musk announces a “major” update to X’s AI algorithm, arriving next week

The tycoon and owner of X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk has announced a “important” update for the artificial intelligence algorithm (AI) of the social network, which will arrive starting next week.

In a message published on the platform itself, Musk has communicated the update and has announced that this new algorithm will be published in open source, as happened last January after the controversies of X related to explicit image generation with artificial intelligence at the request of users, including nudes of minors.

However, the tycoon has not revealed no details about this update which he has described as “important”. It has also not been indicated whether it will arrive on a global scale or will be implemented gradually.

The last time X’s algorithm was published open source, it was revealed that ‘feed’ ‘Para ti’ recommends content based on the use of two main sources: the accounts followed by the user (Thunder) and other publications found on the platform (Phoenix). The algorithm then processes, filters and sorts by relevance.
