Samsung adds AirDrop support to Quick Share for Galaxy S26 series models

Samsung has announced the incorporation of the Apple AirDrop support for the models of its range of ‘smartphones’ Galaxy S26thus increasing the number of devices to which users can share content.

The function Quick Share allows users exchange content from one device to another regardless of your operating system since last November, so that users do not have to resort to methods such as a wired connection between both devices or third-party applications.

Samsung thus joins other manufacturers such as Google in integrating compatibility with Apple’s AirDrop, although unlike it, will not be activated by default. To access this feature, users must access the connected services section within the settings menu, go to Quick Share and click on “Share with Apple devices” to activate the button.

The update is now available for Galaxy S26 series models (S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra), although Samsung has announced on its website that its availability on other devices will be announced soon.

At the moment this compatibility has been integrated to users in South Korea and will progressively expand to other regions such as Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia and Taiwan, as indicated by the company.
