Google has updated its artificial intelligence (AI) application Gemini to allow importing memories, preferences and chat history from others third-party AI applicationsin order to facilitate the transition to using your assistant.

This was announced in a statement on his blog, where he detailed that, once the memories and conversations are imported, Gemini will be able to understand “the same key information” that users had shared with the other applications.

That is, instead of starting from scratch, Gemini You will instantly know interests, names of family and friends, and personal history of the user, allowing the personalized experience to continue.

To import memories from other AI applications, users will need to enter the settings menu. Configuration and select the new option ‘Import’. Gemini will offer a ‘prompt’ that users should copy and paste in the AI ​​application they were previously using and, as a result, they will obtain a summary of your preferences.

After that, it will be enough to copy said summary and paste it into Geminiso that the assistant analyzes the information and save details safely in the context of the ‘app’ where they will be “ready to be used in the next chat”.

On the other hand, for import chat history, users must upload a ZIP file to Gemini containing chat history from other AI providers. This will allow Gemini to access previous conversations and search through this information to continue the chat.

Google has also explained that, when importing chats, the Intelligence Gemini staff may also include details of the conversations above, plus the data you get from the Gmail apps, Photos, and search history, as long as you have access.
