Announcing 522 administrative procedures under the Ministry of Science and Technology

The list issued with Decision No. 1908 includes 327 central-level procedures and 195 local-level procedures. Central-level administrative procedures are divided into 8 areas, while local-level procedures belong to 7 management areas.

In the central level group, the number of procedures is most concentrated in the field of science and technology activities, with 78 procedures. This is a group of procedures related to the steps of implementing a scientific task, from proposal, selection, funding to acceptance and publication of results.

The list shows many familiar procedures such as grant consideration, ordering scientific and technological tasks; support young scientists; recruiting and training experts and research groups; evaluate and accept the results of tasks using state budget; support inviting foreign scientists to Vietnam; Support for publishing scientific works and attending international conferences; Register scientific research results,…

The two fields with the next largest number of procedures are telecommunications and Internet with 62 procedures, and radio frequency with 58 procedures.

These are groups of procedures directly associated with digital infrastructure and telecommunications resource management activities. The content is mainly related to licensing, adjusting, and renewing licenses to establish networks, provide telecommunications services, as well as grant, allocate, and use radio frequencies.

The field of intellectual property has 33 procedures, focusing on patent registration and rights protection. Procedures such as registering trademarks, inventions, geographical indications, amending protection certificate information, extending the exclusive validity of industrial designs, resolving complaints related to industrial property,… are listed in the list.

The remaining fields include radiation and nuclear safety (37 procedures), quality measurement standards (33 procedures), information technology, electronics (19 procedures) and postal services (7 procedures). The content of procedures in this group is mainly related to specialized management activities, such as licensing, certification, inspection, declaration of standard conformity, regulation conformity or safety assurance in corresponding technical fields.

At the local level, 195 procedures are divided into 7 areas, including science and technology, intellectual property, postal, quality measurement standards, radio frequency, radiation and nuclear safety, telecommunications and Internet. The list shows the main procedures surrounding the organization and implementation of science and technology policies, directly serving the needs of local businesses, organizations and individuals.

According to Decision 1908, the Ministry of Science and Technology implemented 100% of administrative procedures on the industry’s centralized administrative procedure information system. Much of it is provided as a full-service online public service. The implementation of integration and testing of services on the Administrative Procedures Coordination System and the National Public Service Portal are carried out according to the roadmap and instructions of the Ministry of Public Security.
