Proton Workspace is presented as the European alternative to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365

Proton has launched Proton Workspace a set of productivity tools for companies that is presented as the European and secure alternative to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Proton Workspace unifica all Proton services in one package including Proton Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, VPN, password management, and Lumo, its privacy-focused AI.

The Swiss company, specialized in privacy and security services, sees Proton Workspace as the European alternative to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365with whom it wants to compete by taking advantage of its growth among business customers, which number more than 100,000 across its entire ecosystem of products.

Along with this productivity ‘suite’, Proton also introduces Proton Meeta encrypted video conferencing solutionsimilar to Zoom, Teams and Google Meet, which encrypts all calls and conversations using Messaging Layer Security (MLS) encryption protocol.

Encryption also protects against risks linked to AI tools that process audio, video and chat data. And, according to the company in a press release, Proton Meet can be used anonymously and does not keep recordsand you don’t need a Proton account to host or join meetings.

Proton Meet can be used for free for calls up to 50 participants with a maximum duration of one hour. There is also a Meet Professional plan, which is available from 7.99 euros per user per month.

Proton Workspace is available with two plans. On the one hand, Workspace Standardwhich includes Proton Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs and Sheets, Meet, VPN and Pass, for an annual price of 12.99 euros and a monthly price of 14.99 euros.

On the other hand, Workspace Premiumwhich includes all the features of Workspace Standard, plus expanded storage, email data retention policies, higher participant limits per call in Meet, and Lumo, Proton’s privacy-focused AI. The annual price is 19.99 euros, and the monthly price is 24.99 euros.
