The centrality of cyber skills in international defense strategies

Between the end of March and the beginning of April 2026, the cybersecurity sector saw the consolidation of important international synergies between Europe and Africa, with Italian participation in two key events: the InCyber Forum in Lille and the GITEX Africa in Marrakech. These events, sponsored by the highest institutional levels, highlighted the need for a coordinated approach between government agencies (such as ICE and ACN) and the private sector for the protection of the digital space.

The strategic value of the training is manifested in the ability to move from simple theoretical simulations to real tactical immersions. Advanced training systems now allow the operational strategies of over 50 active criminal groups to be replicated, offering defenders the ability to recognize the specific methods of the world’s main threat actors. Through libraries that exceed 200 scenarios based on real-life incidents, incident response teams can test their decision-making speed under conditions of high stress, a parameter that often determines the effectiveness of containment of a systemic threat.

The international projection of Italian know-how in the sector underlines the importance of a shared security ecosystem. Antonio Capobianco, CEO of Fata Informatica, reiterated during the meetings thatcybersecurity today is a strategic issue that concerns not only technologies, but above all skills”, adding that it is “it is essential to transfer the operational experience gained in the field into training and certification programs capable of truly preparing professionals for contemporary cyber threatsThis vision integrates technological innovation with the need for recognized certifications, fundamental for navigating a market that ranges from Cloud to Artificial Intelligence, consolidating the position of technological “Made in Italy” in foreign markets.
