Zenbook Duo Oled is the new two-screen laptop from ASUS, how is its performance? | TECHNOLOGY

When choosing a laptopWhat is the most important quality to consider? It will vary for each user. There will be those who prioritize graphic quality, others will seek greater autonomy. In my case, after trying Zenbook Duo Oled, I already know what I want: a big screen.

The Asus team stands out for its commitment to double screen, which – thanks to the fact that its keyboard is removable – occupies almost the entire interior body. It also stands out for being quite thin and compact, It weighs just 1.35 kg. However, this is not an easily accessible device, it comes to the market with a price of 7.999 soles.

Multitasking as the protagonist

Unlike cell phones, laptops are much more versatile devices and ideal for working on several tasks at the same time. It is incredible, however, that technology can even go further and take the ‘multitasking’ to another level, in this case, thanks to its double screen.

At first glance, the Asus Zenbook looks like a conventional computer, that is, when you open it, we find the screen and, below, the keyboard. However, it hides a secret, not a small one. He keyboard is removable, can be taken out and used as a wireless gadget. When removing it, We discover a screen as wide as the main one. What can we do with this new element?

The first thing we can do, and the most basic, is to use the second screen as a virtual keyboard. Obviously, this is possible thanks to the fact that both panels of the laptop are touch-sensitive.

We can also use the second screen to drag multiple windowsso that, if we are watching a movie or video on the top screen, on the other we can take notes in Word or use any other program.

Finally, if we prefer, we can accommodate both screens vertically, as if we were reading a book. Furthermore, regardless of the position, we will always have access to the keyboard, as well as a wireless pencil which comes included with the equipment (a very helpful tool if design is our thing).

Now, let’s talk about the technical aspect of the Zenbook Duo Oled. In that sense, we find that both Screens are 14-inch, 120Hz ASUS Lumina OLED 3K touch screens. The device is powered by the latest processor technology. Intel Core Ultra 9has up to 32GB RAM and storage SSD from up to 2 TB.

And performance?

I have tested the equipment by doing my usual tasks: browsing the internet, watching streaming, using social networks, using an editing program and playing video games. Everything has been very fluid, even with the video games everything has gone quite well, I have no complaints.

It should be noted, however, that the keyboard, when separated from the equipment, shows limited battery life. It is understandable due to its lightness and thinness.

On the other hand, in terms of general autonomy, the device shows a 75 Wh battery, which promises up to 10.5 hours of use with dual screen, a quite considerable figure that guarantees long hours of productivity without the need for constant charging. It also incorporates fast charging technology, capable of filling up to 60% battery in just 49 minutes.

Is the Zenbook Dual Oled worth it?

In most of my reviews the answer is the same: it depends. We are facing a great device, powerful, with good graphics, fair battery and large screens. The detail here will always be the budget. We are not facing a cheap team. In any case, if the latter is not a drawback, this is obviously a device for those who want to enjoy a large screen and multitasking at its maximum splendor.
