Shazam, behind you: the new platform that will allow you to locate a song by buzzing
Did you remember the melody of the song but forgot the name? You’ll soon be able to find it by humming it: The YouTube Music app has launched a new feature that lets you locate a song just by humming it.In recent years we have gotten used to finding songs and pleasantries using the Shazam app. For those who don’t know, the app allows you to locate almost any song and melody by listening. The application is so popular that it has also been added to the home screen of iPhones.

But sometimes it happens that we remember a song that is not heard in the background, and on a whim find it. This is exactly where Google’s new feature comes in, for now only for some users of the app on Android. If you subscribe to the service, you will see a wave-shaped icon next to the microphone icon that will appear after clicking the search button in the right corner of the application. Click on it, and the app will start listening to you.

Net surfers who tried the new feature testified to an accuracy level of approximately 50 to 80 percent in locating the correct songs. The application misses quite a bit and locates completely different songs and pleasantries than you intended. But there is no doubt that this is a technological breakthrough that will probably also reach new applications in the age of artificial intelligence.
