The Milan Games Week & Cartoomics 2024, organized by Fiera Milano in collaboration with Fandango Club Creators, will be held from 22 to 24 November at the Fiera Milano pavilions in Rho, but numerous world-famous guests have already been confirmed who will meet fans during the three days of the event. Among the most anticipated, the name of Shinji Mikami, the legendary author of Resident Evil, stands out. Mikami is known for his seminal contributions to the video game industry, having created universes that defined the survival horror genre. From the world of American comics, Jason Aaron, famous for his work on Thor: God of Thunder and Batman Off-World, and Pepe Larraz, known for the House of X miniseries and the Star Wars world sagas, will be present.
Japanese animation will also be represented with the participation of Takahiro Yoshimatsu, animator behind iconic series such as Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter, and Trigun. Yoshimatsu will make his forty years of experience available to the public, retracing a career that has left an indelible mark on the anime industry. From the European scene, Bartosz Sztybor, Comic Book and Animation Narrative Director of CD Projekt RED will arrive. Sztybor is known for his work on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a successful anime that consolidated his artistic career across comics, science fiction and animation.
The event will also host Neil Newbon, an English actor known for the role of Elijah Kamski in Detroit: Become Human and above all for his recent performance as Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3, which earned him a Game Award for best performance. The Turin artist Simone Di Meo, responsible for creating the official poster of the event, will be present to illustrate his work and the theme of human intelligence that inspired his work. Di Meo is known for his DC Comics works, including the Batman & Robin series. Tickets for Milan Games Week & Cartoomics 2024 are already available on the official website, with a special promotion for those who purchase by August 31st.
