Microsoft's Copilot AI is now available on Telegram for smarter conversations | TECHNOLOGY

Telegram has integrated generative artificial intelligence (AI) from the Microsoft assistant Copilot on the social network for free, so you can help users with fluid conversations in chats, accessing information in real time and offering a “smarter” chat experience.

The instant messaging social network continues to implement new features to improve the platform’s functions and offer better communication services to users, in this case, adding AI functions.

To do this, Telegram has implemented the Microsoft Copilot assistant on the social network which, with functions powered by AI technology GPT and Bing Search, will help users participate in fluid conversations, offering real-time information on a wide variety of topics. and generating personalized content, among other capabilities.

This is what Microsoft has made known through its website, where it has detailed that this integration offers “a new AI companion for every day” on Telegram and that, for the moment, it is a beta version.

Specifically, the assistant is available for both the mobile application of the social network, as well as for the web and desktop versions, for free. Additionally, Copilot only offers chatbot capabilities, using natural language to provide answers on a wide variety of topics. That is, it does not allow the generation of images or other visual interactions.

In this sense, as Microsoft has explained, users can use Copilot on Telegram to consult issues such as the latest video game releases, obtain movie recommendations, as well as information on new recipes or results of sporting events.

Likewise, users will also be able to ask Copilot to create personalized music playlists, routes and travel itineraries that include recommended local sites or generate a home training routine.

Following this line, the assistant will offer entertainment options with riddles and challenges by typing “I’m bored” in the chat and may even offer dating advice.

To install it, just search for @CopilotOfficialBot on Telegram or access it from the official Microsoft website and, after confirming the mobile number, the assistant will be displayed as a chat within the Telegram conversation list.

With all this, the beta version of Copilot for Telegram is now available to all users globally, which can be used on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS devices.
