Silent Hill 2, the remake releases on PC and PS5 in October

The remake of Silent Hill 2, highly anticipated by fans, will be an exclusive PS5 console and will also be available on PC from October 8th. The new version of the famous title will once again tell the story of James Sunderland, a writer who arrives in the city of Silent Hill in search of his wife, who he thought was dead. The remake promises to revisit the classic with a modernized gameplay style and perspective, enhanced by 3D audio, haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller. At the State of Play in May, Sony showed a new in-depth trailer for the game. Unlike the original Silent Hill 2, which was developed internally by Konami, the remake is in the hands of the Bloober Team: the Polish studio is known for its Layers of Fear games and the supernatural horror adventure The Medium.

After the State of Play, Konami broadcast the Silent Hill Transmission event, focusing mainly on Silent Hill 2. During the 13 minute presentation, gameplay sequences were shown, including fights, classic scenes and other elements that made the story of the original game. The new gameplay promises to take full advantage of the technical capabilities of the PS5. 3D audio, for example, will allow players to immerse themselves even more in the disturbing atmosphere of Silent Hill, perceiving sounds in a three-dimensional and realistic way. Haptic feedback will offer greater sensitivity and tactile immersion, while the DualSense’s adaptive triggers will dynamically react to the player’s actions.
