The Samsung Odyssey OLED gaming monitors incorporate Safeguard+ technology to prevent overheating

Samsung has announced the global launch of its new Odyssey OLED gaming series monitors, which incorporate a technology that prevents overheating and reduces its temperature in its main core.

The company has also presented the intelligent Smart Monitor range and the View Finity professional monitors, with which it seeks to offer users “new experiences, regardless of how these devices are used,” according to a press release.

First of all, the brand has commented that the new Odyssey OLED 2024 models come in two versions: Odyssey OLED G8 (G8SD), which has a 32-inch screen and Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD), with a 27-inch panel.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 is a gaming monitor with 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 0.03 ms GtG for ultra-smooth gameplay and with great responsiveness. Likewise, it is powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), with an NQ8 AI Gen3 processor.

The Odyssey OLED G6, meanwhile, comes with a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution that supports a 16:9 aspect ratio. Its refresh rate is 360 Hz and its GtG response time is 0.03 ms.

The manufacturer has highlighted that both devices introduce Samsung OLED Safeguard+ technology, which prevents overheating with a dynamic cooling system that evaporates and condenses the liquid coolant to better distribute heat and reduce the temperature in the core.

Also both monitors, which have a thin, metallic design, reach a peak brightness of 250 nits and come with technology OLED Glare Freewhich reduces reflections and maintains image sharpness.
