The history of Shadowlands is coming to an end, which is why Blizzard has presented Dragonflight, the next expansion for World of Warcraft (WoW), which brings dragons and new races and classes linked to them.
Shadowlands was introduced during Blizzcon 2019, although it arrived in 2020 and brought back the mythical Sylvanas Windrunner, and introduced new content, territories and faction systems, and a simplification of the game system, which reduced the maximum level of the characters to 60 (I had already exceeded 100-odd).
WoW’s story will continue with Dragonflight, ushering in the new age of dragons. These dragons return after 10,000 years, needing to defend their home, the Dragon Isles, whose origin lies in the elemental magic and life energy of Azeroth.
Along with the dragons comes a new race, the dracthyr, who can take on a more humanoid or draconic form, but also a new class, the evokers. Only the dracthyr can be evocative, as Blizzard has clarified during the presentation of the new expansion.
Dragonflight introduces novelties in the game such as the possibility of riding a dragon, as a new form of aerial movement that will have to be trained. Alongside this, a redesigned talent system, based on two class and specialization talent trees that are completed with points and allow you to level up, while the new profession of craftsman of the Dragon Islands will allow you to collect ingredients to create wonderful items. and unlock specializations.
The expansion will also introduce a new redesigned user interface, level up players to 70, introduce new dungeons (Black Dragonflight Fortress, Unknown Vaults of Uldaman, Red Dragonflight Pools of Life) and a new raid on the ancient prison of the primal Incarnates.
On the other hand, Blizzard has announced for the classic adventure the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, originally released in 2008, which will arrive this year. In it, players will enter the continent of Northrend to challenge the Lich King and end his reign of terror.
