This prehistoric technology is capable of shooting down the most advanced drones in the middle of a war | VIDEO | Russia | Ukraine | TECHNOLOGY

The unmanned aerial vehicle, better known as drone, droneRPA or UAS, has become very popular in recent years, both for filming, commercials, competition, games, among many other uses.

But it is in war where they have gained special importance, especially in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. They are used to find enemy targets, guide artillery fire or even carry explosive charges.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has even approved the creation of a branch of the Armed Forces dedicated to drone operations, but very old technology could be capable of shooting them down.

It is a simple lance. This type of instrument is easy to install on vehicles and is reminiscent of knightly combat in the Middle Ages. A simple blow can cause these unmanned vehicles to lose their balance.

The truth is that the origin of the spear is found in prehistoric times, 300 thousand years ago, reported the newspaper La Vanguardia.

To test this, user TheRealBuni shared a video on social network X (formerly Twitter) showing a drone being shot down by another drone using a spear.

This is how this technology, which consists of a long stick with a point at one end, continues to be used, now against modern vehicles.
