Opel Frontera is coming back: It will arrive in Croatia at the end of the year, and it will be possible to drive only on electricity

At today’s conference in Zagreb, Opel officially presented the new Opel Frontera – comfortable, spacious and compact SUV for family, travel and stay in nature. The famous Opel model returns between the Mokka and the larger Grandland, and it is interesting that in the future it will also be offered with seven seats at its 4.38 meter length. Such a variant could be particularly interesting for carriers, and the new Opel SUV will be offered as a fully electric model, but also with a 48-volt hybrid drive.

A design detail that is characteristic of new Opel models, the black ‘visor’ is also present here and sets the Frontera apart from other vehicles, and Opel’s ‘wing design’ is interpreted here with three blocks of lights that are separated by inserts in body color. On the side, the C-pillar is the same, and the wheel arches and fenders are especially emphasized for a robust look.

With a length of 4.38 m, it should be noted that the Frontera is 162 cm high and 179 cm wide, while the wheelbase is 267.1 cm. The luggage capacity is 450 liters, and by folding the seats it increases to 1600. In addition, the roof rails can be loaded with 240 kg.

Two levels of equipment, Frontera and Frontera GS, are offered, as well as two more personalization packages, so in the basic variant there is a 10″ screen in front of the train, a station for a smartphone, manual air conditioning, and an electric parking brake. and front LED lights.

The electric version of the Frontera has a 44 kWh battery with a range of about 310 km and 113 HP of maximum power and a maximum speed of 140 km/h. It will also be offered with a 48V (898 Wh) hybrid system with 100 or 136 horses and a DCT6 transmission with a maximum speed of 180 and 190 km/h, depending on the version.

The new Frontera was presented in Zagreb by market director Igor Bareti, marketing director Tina Tadi. and sales manager Kristijan Pišoni, who pointed out that we will see Opel’s potential next hit in showrooms at the end of the year, in the 11th or 12th month. But the prices are not yet known. Otherwise, they pointed out that Opel recorded a 15 percent increase in sales last year, with 670,000 new vehicles on the road. In Croatia, however, in the first six months of this year, they occupy a 7.6 percent share.
