Amazon fixes a bug that prevented downloading eBooks on some Kindle models

Amazon Fixed a bug that prevented Kindle users from downloading e-books, whether new or previously purchased, due to an interruption in service that has affected the Paperwhite, Oasis, Signature Edition and Basic models.

Since Wednesday, Kindle owners have reported on Amazon’s forum and on platforms such as Reddit that they were unable to download new books or previously purchased titles. The error also persisted after restarting the device.

This bug has limited the ability to download e-books on Kindle devices Paperwhite, Oasis, Signature Edition y Kindle Basic. However, the Kindle app for Android and iOS smartphones has been working normally and has not been affected.

First, the American technology company detailed that they were aware of the problem and that it was a server failure, as reported by the media Good e-Reader. Amazon also indicated that it was working on the solution and that users would have to wait at least 48 hours before they could download eBooks again, although “it might take longer.”

Now, Amazon has announced that this error has finally been resolved, so that users can now access their eBooks on their devices as normal. This was shared by Amazon devices spokesperson Jackie Burke in statements to The Verge, where she pointed out that the issue affecting some Kindle customers “was quickly resolved.”
