We exclusively tested the vivo X100 Ultra at the Euro 2024 final: a high-end smartphone that has not yet arrived in Peru

Mobile phones are modernizing at a rapid pace with the help of artificial intelligence and other technologies. That is one of the reasons why companies have series and models to differentiate the qualities, with the high-end ones usually having the main changes. So on this occasion we put to the test one of the most powerful smartphones that have come out, none other than vivo’s workhorse, the X100, and in the final of the Euro 2024 that Spain won.

A few weeks ago, the Chinese firm announced the latest addition to its X series portfolio: the vivo X100 Ultra. It is a modern device focused on mobile photography and raising users’ productivity levels.

In the photographic section, the vivo X100 Ultra has lenses of Zeiss whose technology improves the clarity of the frame by 20%. There is a camera set consisting of a 50 MP main camera with f/1.75, a 20 MP Zeiss APO super telephoto lens with f/2.67 and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens with ultra-low distortion with f/2.2.

As for the quality of portraits, this smartphone adds a 50 MP front camera and includes additional functions such as the Bokeh effect, which allows you to blur the background to highlight the main subject.

He X100 Ultra It also comes with an anti-vibration telephoto lens and a micro gimbal, designed for sports photography. We put this to the test during the Euro Cup final, trying to capture some of the action.

There are various scene modes such as movie portrait like super moon, starry sky, landscape and architecture, high pixels, panorama, micro movie, diving and 3D camera. In addition, it supports up to 8K ultra high definition video recording and up to 4K slow motion.

Regarding performance, the vivo X100 Ultra It has an 8-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM.

It has a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 and comes in three colors: titanium, lead, and space gray, and is only available in Asia for now.
