Heihachi Mishima arrives in Tekken 8 with a new chapter of the story

Bandai Namco Europe has released a new trailer for Tekken 8 announcing the return of Heihachi Mishima, aka the King of Iron Fist, as the next DLC character. Scheduled for release in Fall 2024, the update marks the third DLC since the game’s launch, which has already reintroduced fan-favorite characters such as Eddy Gordo and Lidia Sobieska. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., Tekken 8 uses Unreal Engine 5, with each character remodeled in stunning detail and new dynamic, destructible environments introduced. The game is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

With the arrival of series regular Heihachi, a brand new chapter titled “The Dark Awakens” has been added to the Story Mode for the first time in a Tekken game. This new chapter further expands the storyline, continuing the epic rivalry between the Kazama and Mishima families. The Story Mode expansion will be available as a free update for all Tekken 8 players, offering new story content at no additional cost. During EVO 2024, where new champion Arslan Ash took the title, Bandai Namco America also announced the Tekken World Tour 2024 Finals. The Finals will be held in Tokyo, Japan on December 8, 2024. The group stages for the global and regional leaderboards will begin on December 5.
