Against the background of the threat of an all-out war, the national cyber system has recently identified an increase in online influence attempts that are expected to increase even more. Among the attempts detected were attempts to break into automated call centers, distribution of threatening text messages, distribution of emails with links to harmful files, impersonating profiles on the network distributing threatening messages and postings on impersonating news sites.

The organization calls on the public to be more vigilant online and avoid sharing unverified and unofficial information. Among the recommendations is to avoid answering unidentified calls from abroad if you do not expect such a call. In WhatsApp, it is recommended to set the muting of calls from an unknown source or to block them. If you answered a threatening call – hang up immediately, block the source and report. There is no fear of damage to the phone.

Also, the formation calls to refrain from clicking on suspicious links and files, to strengthen the protection of social networks, to add an additional identification code to the password in WhatsApp as well. In case of any suspicion, dial 119 to the National Cyber ​​Center.
