These are the two ages at which the human body ages rapidly

On the one hand, the science innovates with rejuvenation treatments, cosmetic surgeries and more, but on the other hand it also reminds us that aging is inevitable. study identified the ages at which the human body ages most rapidly.

Researchers at Stanford University found that human beings experience peak aging from the age of 40, specifically between 44 and 60 years. The results were presented in the scientific journal Nature Aging.

The study involved a group of 108 volunteers, from whom they examined 135,000 molecules and microbes, reported the newspaper El Clarín. In total, nearly 250 billion pieces of data were collected.

The result was surprising because, as part of the study, the effects related to menopause and perimenopause in women were separated. They noticed that 44-year-old men were also showing changes.

“We’re not just changing gradually over time; there are some dramatic changes,” said Dr. Michael Snyder, a professor of genetics and leader of the study.

Changes in 44-year-olds are related to molecules linked to alcohol, caffeine and lipid metabolism, cardiovascular disease, and changes in the skin and muscle.

In people aged 60 years and older, changes were related to carbohydrate and caffeine metabolism, immune regulation, kidney function and cardiovascular disease.
