Threads tests posts that disappear within 24 hours

The ‘microblogging’ social network Threads aims to incorporate ephemeral publications, which will allow users to view and interact with their content for 24 hours before automatically disappearing.

Ephemeral posts are those that are automatically deleted after a certain period of time. Instagram has been working on implementing them in Threads for some time, as reverse engineering expert Alessandro Paluzzi showed at the end of June.

So, Paluzzi shared a screenshot in which the publish button could be seen and another additional one next to it, with the number 24which indicated an expiration time.

The tech company has confirmed to TechCrunch that such a feature is in the works. It is currently testing posts that are deleted after 24 hours with a limited group of users, though.

By setting a time limit on a post, Once it disappears, so will the comments and other content that are part of the thread.if one has been created. In principle, it would also affect appointments.
