PlayStation 5 Pro will be announced in the coming weeks, according to reports

The long-rumored but still unconfirmed update of the PlayStation 5 will finally be announced in the first half of September, several specialized video game media reported based on information from a well-known leaker in the industry.

A user known as ‘billbil-kun’ posted exclusive information about Sony’s new console on French-language magazine Dealabs, including confirming that it will be called the PlayStation 5 Pro, following a tradition previously established during the previous generation of the device.

Additionally, the leaker provided a sketch of what the new look of the device will be like, which is not too far from the current Slim version of the PlayStation 5, except for the inclusion of several horizontal lines that cross the middle of the side panels.

It is worth noting that the model drawn by ‘billbil-kun’ lacks a disk reader. and the leaker cannot confirm whether this is only the case on the version of the console he received or if none of these models will feature this addition, important for those who want to continue enjoying physical games.

Another issue that is not revealed is the console’s specifications, although these are expected to be significantly higher than those of the console launched in 2020. For the moment, we only have to wait until the first weeks of September until Sony officially reveals the missing information.
