Honor is betting on thin and light designs to expand its ecosystem with a tablet, an AI-powered laptop and a smartwatch

Honor has chosen the IFA fair in Berlin to present its new foldable smartphone Magic V3, the thinnest on the market to date, but it has also shown at this showcase the MagicPad2 tablet, the MagicBook Art 4 laptop and the Watch 5 watch, which also boast a thin and light design.

MagicPad2 is a 12.3-inch tablet that supports a stylus and wireless keyboard, making this device an ideal companion for work or study. It features eye-friendly technology, achieves a 144Hz refresh rate, and employs 4,320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology.

It includes artificial intelligence functions aimed at the educational environment, such as converting handwritten equations into digital text. They are powered by the MagicOS 8.0 operating system and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

It features a high-capacity 10,050mAh battery, which is complemented by 66W fast charging technology for fast charging and efficient power consumption.

This tablet is available with a 12GB RAM configuration and an internal capacity of 256GB, and can be found in black and pearl white, for 599 euros.

MAGICBOOK ART 4

The MagicBook Art 4, on the other hand, is a laptop that offers a detachable camera format. That is, the camera module is stored in a slot on the side of the computer and is removed and magnetically attached to the top when needed. This makes it easy to act as a front or rear camera, depending on which way you place it.

It runs Windows 11 and features a 14.6-inch OLED display that reaches a peak brightness of 700 nits, with a resolution of 2,080 x 3,120 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It features 4,320Hz PWM dimming technology, dynamic dimming technology, and E-book mode, and Honor’s spatial audio technology.

It features an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor and Intel Arc Xe graphics, up to 1TB of internal storage and 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and a 60Wh battery. It is a computer with artificial intelligence, which includes the functions of Copilot, the Microsoft assistant, such as intelligent email management, data viewing and visualization, and real-time transcription and summary.

It includes a 60Wz battery, and uses artificial intelligence with OS Turbo 3.0 technology to optimize power consumption by analyzing user behavior and adjusting performance strategies precisely.

The company has highlighted the thin and light design of this laptop, thanks to its Topology structure, which allows it to weigh approximately 1 kilogram and have a thin thickness of 10 millimeters. It also offers durability, since the body is built with a magnesium alloy and the keyboard with titanium. It also has multiple ports that include Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack.

Honor has not yet shared any details regarding its arrival in Spain.

HONOR WATCH 5

Honor’s presentation also saw an update to its line of smartwatches. The Watch 5, again with a thin (11mm) and light (35g) design, features a 1.85-inch colour AMOLED display with a resolution of 450 x 390 pixels.

This watch features a silicon-carbon battery that offers 15 days of battery life with its 480mAh battery, while Turbo X technology provides more efficient energy management.

Honor Watch 5 tracks essential health metrics such as heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) levels. It features the AccuTrack positioning system to improve GPS accuracy.

Honor has not specified the price, but has anticipated that the Watch 5 will hit the Spanish market in the last quarter of the year.
