Nicolás Maduro asked the spirit of Diego Maradona not to “let Javier Milei sleep”

Once again, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has called his counterpart Javier Milei a “Nazi” and asked the spirit of Diego Armando Maradona to “pull him by the legs” and “not let him sleep.”

In another part of his speech, the Venezuelan president questioned the failure of the United States to lift sanctions imposed on his country’s economy.

Maduro stressed that this process was key in the search for normalization of relations, but denounced that the US played with “deceptive offers, falsehoods and created false expectations.”

Rodríguez called on the Permanent Commission on Foreign Policy to meet and draft a resolution that the plenary “peremptorily approves” to ask the “Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to immediately break all diplomatic, commercial and consular relations” with the European country.

In addition, the legislative leader demanded the return of Venezuelan diplomatic representatives in Spain and vice versa. He also proposed that the document include the Suspension of flights between the two countriesand the immediate cessation of all commercial activities of Spanish companies in Venezuela.

Rodríguez’s request is in response to the recent pronouncement of the Spanish Congress, which recognized former candidate González Urrutia as the true winner of the presidential elections, which, according to the legislative leader, constitutes “a declaration of war against the people of Venezuela.”

In his speech, Rodriguez criticized the continued existence of relations with countries that, according to him, do not respect Venezuelan sovereignty.

The deputy for the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela considered it a serious error that the Spanish parliamentarians try to claim authority over the Venezuelan Electoral Power.
