Gunfire near Trump’s golf course. FBI confirms: the target was the tycoon. The former president: "I’m safe. I’ll never give up"

Again Donald Trump and gunshots in the same sentence, but this time it was not an attack on the former president, like two months ago. Or at least that was the first information, because after that the news became confusing.
Shootout between criminals or shots aimed specifically at Trump, even if from a distance? CNN cited sources who spoke of a Ar-15 type rifle found outside the golf club and a pair of binoculars. But at the moment there is no confirmation.
According to the first version, released by the New York Post, two people were involved in a shooting in Gunshots fired outside Trump International Golf Course in West Palm BeachThe two were chasing each other and shot each other, but Trump had nothing to do with it.
The tycoon’s staff sources said the former president “has never been in danger,” but the area outside the resort “is notorious for high crime.”
Other sources cited by the American media have instead stated that it was the Secret Service agents, on security duty at the Golf club, who shot to stop a man who was wandering around the resort armed with a gun. The man was reportedly arrested.

The news generated mixed feelings: it relieved the tycoon’s supporters but also disappointed them. On social media, some immediately spoke of a new attack to “stop the only one who can save America”.

On July 13, in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump was the victim of an attack during an election rally, when a young man, twenty-year-old Matthew Crooks, fired eight shots with a combat rifle: the tycoon was grazed in the ear, two people in the audience were hit, not seriously, and a third died while trying to save her daughters.
The news of the shooting outside Trump’s golf club was launched by the conservative newspaper, the New York Post, and picked up by all the media. It seemed like going back two months even if from the beginning the news was of a different and more confused tone.
Trump’s Fox News mounted a newscast with commentators recalling the tycoon’s battles against crime and how this episode could have more serious consequences for the country. Butler’s attack had generated a wave of solidarity towards Trump.
For a few hours, this episode overshadowed the violent messages launched by the former president, first against the Haitian community of Springfield, Ohio, accused of eating Americans’ dogs and cats, and then against the singer Taylor Swift, after her endorsement of Kamala Harris.

Suspect arrested

A suspect who authorities believe is connected to the incident at Trump International Golf Course has been arrested, according to a Facebook post from the Martin County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office “stopped a vehicle and took a suspect into custody,” the post read.

And Section of Interstate 95 near State Route 714 in Martin County is closedthe office said. “We will update this information as it becomes available,” the post continued. Martin County, CNN reports, is north of Palm Beach County, where the incident at Trump International occurred.

FBI: “Trump Assassination Attempt”

The FBI released a statement saying it “has responded to a scene in West Palm Beach, Florida, and is investigating what appears to be an assassination attempt on former President Trump,” the New York Times reports.

God bless you.” These are the words of Donald Trump reported by his campaign, commenting on the new assassination attempt that involved him at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, two months after the attack in Pennsylvania.
Trump sent an email to his fundraising list saying that there had been “gunfire in my vicinity, but before rumors start spreading out of control, I wanted you to know first: I AM SAFE AND OK!”
