Sources in Hungary: Pagers that exploded in Lebanon were made in Bulgaria

Israeli and German journalists who arrived at the address in Budapest where BAC Consulting KFT is registered found an empty building. Only an A4 sheet of paper with the company’s name on it reminds us of the company that Taiwan’s Gold Apollo claims manufactured the pagers that exploded in Lebanon.

The Hungarian website Telex, citing its sources, writes that the Bulgarian company Norta Global purchased Taiwanese pagers that were eventually sold to Hezbollah. The Hungarian company served as a cover and was not involved in the deal; the devices were never located in Hungary.

Hungarian government spokesman Zoltán Kovács wrote in his X-blog that the Hungarian company BAC Consulting KFT is a trade intermediary and does not have production facilities in Hungary. The company is represented by a single person. Kovács also stated that the Hungarian security services cooperate with foreign partners.
