Armenia is committed to the peace agenda. the Prime Minister to the US Deputy Secretary of State

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the dynamic nature of RA-US relations and the support of the US administration in the implementation of institutional reforms in Armenia by receiving the delegation led by US Deputy Secretary of State Joshua Huck today.

Pashinyan emphasized the need to implement targeted programs in Armenia with US support, including improving infrastructure.

According to the news agency of the Prime Minister’s Office, Haq emphasized the readiness of the US to continue its assistance in promoting democratic reforms in Armenia, and noted that the expansion of programs and the increase in the volume of funding by the US Agency for International Development are aimed at this goal.

The interlocutors referred to the agreements reached at the Armenia-EU-US high-level meeting held in Brussels in April and the process of their implementation.

The participants of the meeting referred to the discussions on the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the issues related to the “Crossroads of Peace” project of the RA Government. In this context, Prime Minister Pashinyan referred to the principled positions of the Armenian side and emphasized that Armenia is committed to the peace agenda and ensuring stability in the region.

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan also received the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States today. At the meeting, in particular, the regional security situation, the negotiation process for the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations was discussed, reports from the Security Council office.
