Hezbollah, considered a terrorist group by the West, confirmed that its top commander and other senior Lebanese figures were killed in an Israeli strike in Beirut on Friday.
It is about Ibrahim Akil, the head of Radvan’s unit.
Hezbollah confirmed Akil’s death shortly after midnight, describing him as “one of its top leaders.” According to the group, Aqeel was killed in the southern Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that at least 14 people were killed in the attack.
The ministry reported earlier that at least 66 people were injured, 9 of them in a serious condition.
