At least two of the wives and mothers of Russian soldiers deployed to war in Ukraine as a result of the mobilization have been charged with holding an unauthorized public event after a weekend rally outside the Defense Ministry building in Moscow.

Dozens of female protesters demanded the return of their husbands home.

The women were called to the police station and questioned. Two of them, Anna Bogatchenko and Anastasia Slavik, were charged. The news was reported by OVD-Info, which monitors rights violations in Russia.
