Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is visiting Belarus today, where he had a meeting with President Alexander Lukashenko.
At the meeting, Lukashenko highly appreciated Grossi’s work to ensure the safety of nuclear power plants, especially those nuclear power plants that are practically in the zone of military operations in Zaporozhye and Kursk. Lukashenko assured that Belarus will do everything possible to ensure nuclear security in the region.
Grossi will visit the Ostrovets nuclear power plant in the north-west of Belarus. It was built in the region of Grodno bordering Lithuania and is located 40 kilometers from Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
