The armed wing of Hamas claims responsibility for the attack on a Tel Aviv tram station

The armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Ezzeldin al Qassam Brigades, has claimed responsibility for the attack perpetrated on Tuesday at a tram station in the Yafa neighborhood, in the south of the city of Tel Aviv, an attack that resulted in with seven dead and numerous injured.

“As long as the occupation continues to exterminate our people and our children in Gaza, we will get used to seeing their dead on the streets of our occupied cities,” said the armed wing of Hamas in a statement reported by ‘Filistin’, which is affiliated with the militia.

Muhammad Khalaf Saher Regev and Hasan Muhamad Hasan Tamimi, in their twenties and residents of the West Bank city of Hebron, were members of the Palestinian militia. They were “neutralized” by police forces after the shooting.

The commander of the Tel Aviv district police, Haim Sergof, detailed the day before that the two attackers boarded the train, where they fired several shots. Immediately afterwards, they got out of the car and continued shooting in the street.

The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, confirmed this Wednesday that Lev Kreitman, survivor of the massacre perpetrated by the militia at the Nova music festival in the October 7 attacks, managed to kill one of the perpetrators.
