Biden says he will not support Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities

US President Joe Biden has said he will not support a plan to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities if it is considered by Israel. CNN website reports this.

“The answer is no,” Biden said when asked by reporters about the prospect of an Israeli retaliatory strike against facilities related to Iran’s nuclear program. Biden also added that the United States would still discuss with the Israelis what the response might be.

At the same time, the US President noted that members of the Group of Seven (G7), with whom he spoke on Wednesday, October 2, agree that “Israel’s response must be proportionate.”
