President Masoud Pezeshkian: Israel will not be able to end the resistance and will be “punished soon”

The president of IranMasoud Pezeshkian, reaffirmed this Thursday from Doha his country’s support for the Palestinian and Lebanese “resistance factions”, assured that Israel “will not be able to put an end” to them and warned that “the Zionist entity will be punished soon.”

“Given the repeated aggressions of the Zionist entity against the resistance factions, I am forced to indicate that the violators of human rights and those who commit crimes must know that this tree is fruitful and cannot be destroyed.”said Pezeshkian in a speech at a forum in Qatar.

He alluded above all to the intense Israeli bombings against strongholds of the pro-Iranian Shiite Lebanese group. Hezbollah at various points in the Lebanon in which several of its commanders have died, including its top leader Hassan Nasrallah.

“Injustice will not go unpunished and the Zionist entity will undoubtedly soon be punished.”“added the Iranian president in the third edition of the call Asian Cooperation Dialogue which is held in Qatar with the participation of Iran and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf.

““We will support the resistance factions until the liberation of Palestine and we see that this is a duty (…) we strongly defend the Palestinian cause.”he asserted.

Last Tuesday, Iran launched some 200 missiles against Israel in response to the assassinations attributed to Israel of several leaders of pro-Iran Palestinian groups, including the former leader of the Palestinian Islamist group Ismail Haniyeh who died last July in Tehran.

Hezbollah and Hamas are part of the so-called “Resistance Axis” against Israel, backed by Iran and also made up of Yemen’s Houthi rebels and numerous Iraqi Shiite groups.
