Hezbollah announced that it had fired rockets at an Israeli air base

The Hezbollah group today said that its Fadi-1 rocket targeted Israel’s Ramat David air base, but did not state the number of bullets or damage involved.

Israel did not comment directly on this information. However, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on October 5 that two rockets launched from Lebanon aimed at Haifa Bay, one was shot down and the other fell into an open area. There is no information on casualties or major damage.

In the southern Lebanon battlefield, Hezbollah said its units were fighting the Israeli army and had launched missiles that hit enemy tanks.

The IDF said that on the night of October 4 and early morning of October 5, the Israeli Air Force, with information from military intelligence, attacked the positions of Hezbollah members at the command post located in the mosque near Salah Ghandour hospital. , Bint Jbeil town, southern Lebanon.

The IDF accused Hezbollah of using the mosque as a place to “plan attacks against the army and state of Israel”.

Salah Ghandour Hospital is run by the Hezbollah-affiliated Islamic Medical Committee. Hospital director Mohammed Sleiman said the facility was hit directly by an Israeli air strike. Nine medical and nursing staff here were injured, most in serious condition.

The Israeli military recently escalated air strikes and launched a ground campaign against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. Fighting has killed more than 1,400 people in Lebanon and forced more than a million people to flee their homes.

The IDF announced that as of October 5, they had killed more than 400 Hezbollah members since launching the ground campaign, many of whom were commanders in charge of areas and villages in the south of the neighboring country.
