The trial of six British men accused of having links with the Wagner PMC has begun in London.

Six people accused of setting fire to a building in London owned by Ukrainian businessmen appeared on Friday, October 4, before London’s Old Bailey Central Criminal Court. According to the prosecutor’s office, they acted on orders from the Russian PMC Wagner, the BBC reports.

All of them (except Paulauskas) are charged with aggravated arson under the national security law. The list of charges also includes items that fall under the updated espionage laws.

Dmitry Paulauskas is accused of failing to inform the authorities of information about impending terrorist attacks. On Friday he pleaded not guilty.

And Jakeem Reeves pleaded guilty at a hearing on Friday to being in a public place with a bladed weapon.

Pleas on the remaining charges will be presented at a hearing in the same court on October 25.
