The United Arab Emirates has announced a solidarity campaign with the Lebanese people. The Wam news agency reported this, specifying that the campaign, which will start tomorrow and end on October 21, was launched by the president of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The campaign, continues the Wam agency, aims to involve institutions and businesses and follows the urgent aid package worth 100 million dollars ordered by the Emirati president, Mohamed bin Zayed, to support the Lebanese people. The Emirates have already sent six planes loaded with around 205 tonnes of medical supplies, food, relief materials and shelter equipment to the country of Cedars in collaboration with international partners such as WHO, UNICEF, UNHCR, Red Cross and Red Crescent.
