The armed wing of Hamas says it is preparing for a “long war of attrition” that “will be expensive for the enemy”

He threatens a “dark tunnel” for the kidnapped hostages if Israel does not end its “intransigence”

The spokesman for the Ezzeldín al Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, assured this Monday that the militia is preparing for a “long war of attrition” and has ventured that this “will be expensive for the enemy”, words that come on the occasion of the anniversary. of attacks carried out by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian factions.

From the armed wing of Hamas they have claimed the “fight” and have stated that one year after the start of the ‘Al Aqsa Flood’ operation, “Gaza has shown its strength and will continue to confront the Israeli occupation.” Thus, he has indicated that the attack carried out on October 7, 2023 was a “preventive” measure against a “major attack” planned by Israel “against the resistance.”

In this sense, he has denounced that Palestinian forces “fight an asymmetric war” against Israeli troops and has argued that the attacks a year ago occurred at a time when the “occupation’s aggression against the Esplanade of the Mosques (in Jerusalem) reached dangerous and unprecedented levels.

“A year has passed since our largest and most professional operation (…). Our people have stood firm despite the betrayal of our neighbors, who have cowardly joined other regimes despite the brutality of the enemy and the acts of the forces of aggression and oppression,” he stated.

“A year later, our Palestinian people are a legend,” he pointed out before emphasizing that the Palestinians “are giving the world a lesson in dignity, pride and strength despite the betrayals and silence” of the international community in the face of a “brutal” enemy.

Obeida has accused the “occupation forces and their terrorist government of not wanting to see a single Palestinian beyond the Jordan River”, which is why he has maintained that the “massacres recorded in the West Bank confirm that the enemy’s crimes are a strategic decision against our people everywhere.”

“We have killed and wounded thousands of enemy soldiers and put hundreds of military vehicles out of service (…). The resistance soldiers continue to heroically maintain their strength in every corner of the Gaza Strip despite continuing to wage a war. unequal battle against a criminal enemy that does not hesitate when it comes to committing all types of crimes,” he said, according to the newspaper ‘Filastin’, which is related to the group.

In this sense, he referred to the hostages kidnapped during the Hamas attacks on October 7 last year and stated that “if Israeli intransigence continues, the prisoners’ chapter will enter a dark tunnel.” “The enemy only understands the language of force, and weapons can only be confronted with weapons,” he lamented.

THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT

The armed wing of Hamas has thus thanked Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq for the support received, while warning that the “drones from Yemen and Iraq seek to attack the enemy to cause great losses.”

“I appreciate the great popular movement in Yemen,” he declared before sending a message to the Shiite militia party Hezbollah, which he said he “trusted to hit the enemy.” “We are confident that you will be able to complete your mission with energy and efficiency, as the enemy carries out stupid acts in Lebanon,” he explained.

Obeida has in turn applauded the response of the Government of Iran and has described as “disappointing” the “policy of murders implemented by the aggressors”, but not before defending the “victory and honor of the resistance fighters”, that they will not be stopped by the death of leaders like Hasan Nasaralah or Ismail Haniye.

“The murders do not represent the end of the road for liberation movements, especially for our Palestinian revolution,” he stressed, while urging the launch of the largest Arab and Islamic campaign of international support as a sign of support for the Palestinian people. . “Zionists must understand that they are pariahs,” he added.
