Hezbollah denies “rumors” that Ibrahim Amin al-Said refused to lead the group

Despite the fact that Hezbollah has not officially confirmed the death of Hashim Safi ad-Din, who is called the successor of the terrorist group’s Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, there is an active discussion in the Arab media about the candidacy of the successor of the one who became Nasrallah’s successor.

The most likely candidate is Ibrahim Amin al-Said, the head of Hezbollah’s political council, who was at the origins of the group. It is noted that despite the fact that his main role was to ensure the political influence of Hezbollah, he also has experience in military matters.

After al-Said’s candidacy became known, information began to spread in the Arab segment of the Internet that he had refused the post of leader of the group and expressed a desire to go to Iran and devote himself to theology and prayers.

Al-Arabia Now claims that these are rumors. It quotes a statement from the group’s press service, according to which all this is part of the psychological war being waged against Hezbollah. Sources in the group say that Hezbollah is now led by a collective leadership.
