Jake Sullivan: “Israel must turn tactical victories into strategy”

National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan took part in a ceremony commemorating the October 7 tragedy, held at the Israeli Embassy in Washington.

In his speech, Jake Sullivan praised the IDF operations that eliminated Hamas and Hezbollah leaders responsible for the deaths of Israelis and Americans. He said Israel had demonstrated “remarkable capabilities,” while emphasizing that these operations alone were not enough.

“Tactical victories must be turned into a strategy that will secure the future of the people of Israel,” he said.

Jake Sullivan said October 7 would be a “dark day” in the history of the Palestinian people due to the war started by Hamas on that day. He noted that the number of victims is growing, including because of terrorists who are hiding among the civilian population.

Jake Sullivan also spoke of the “unbreakable security partnership” between the US and Israel. At the same time, he noted that both the United States and Israel do not rule out that there will be other attacks on Israel from Iran and its satellites.
