During the meeting of the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Russia, held today in Moscow, an agreement was reached that from January 1, 2025, the Border Guard troops of the RA National Security Service will also participate in the protection of the Armenia-Iran and Armenia-Turkey state borders, and the control of the Armenia-Iran state border the service at the border point will be performed entirely by the forces of the Border Guard troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan thanked Vladimir Putin for the service performed by the Border Guard troops of the Russian FSB at the checkpoint of the Armenia-Iran state border since Armenia’s independence, the message said.
