Hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah broke out just over a year ago when the Islamist militia launched projectiles against Israeli territory in solidarity with the Palestinian cause and after Hamas had attacked Israel, leaving almost 1,200 dead and 240 hostages, which motivated the bloody Israeli response, which has already left more than 42,000 dead.

The Israeli Army intensified its offensive against Hezbollah in mid-September with “selective bombings” against positions in southern Lebanon and even neighborhoods of Beirut.
